BU Safety Manager - ES

Location: Mulberry, Florida, United States; full-time, on-site role.

What you will do

• Support multiple business units with loss prevention programs, safety objectives, policies, procedures, and training.
• Advise business unit leadership on safety training and proactive safety practices.
• Monitor implementation of safety and loss prevention programs and redirect activities when performance falls below targets.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, Department of Transportation, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including recordkeeping.
• Investigate serious accidents and injuries, and monitor investigations of minor incidents.
• Manage return-to-duty and modified-duty programs in partnership with HR and division management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a safety professional.
• Professional safety certification from a nationally recognized safety organization or a college degree in Safety Management.
• Successful completion of a 40-hour OSHA compliance course.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other applicable health and safety standards.
• Strong communication, organization, customer service, report-writing, and multitasking skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; valid driver's license.
