Risk Control Specialist (Workers’ Compensation)

Location: Garden City, NY, USA; requires regular travel by car, including occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $50,000–$90,000 annual.

Brown & Brown provides workers’ compensation risk management services for Comp Alliance members.

What you will do

• Maintain annual contact with assigned Comp Alliance members through safety inspections, safety committee meetings, and training programs.
• Identify workplace safety hazards and recommend corrective improvements.
• Communicate with members about workplace injuries and safety programs.
• Use computer programs to report hazards and generate recommendation letters.
• Interpret workers’ compensation injury reports.
• Deliver employee training using PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams, and collaborate with underwriting, claims, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong telephone and video communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel freely by car, including occasional overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business- or finance-related discipline.
