Risk Control Specialist

Location: Garden City, NY, USA; requires travel by car, including occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $50,000–$90,000 annual.

What you will do

• Provide professional workers’ compensation risk management services to assigned Comp Alliance members.
• Conduct annual loss control safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
• Attend member safety committee meetings and recommend corrective improvements.
• Deliver employee training using PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams for virtual sessions.
• Communicate about workplace injuries and safety programs and interpret workers’ compensation injury reports.
• Prepare safety articles, hazard reports, and recommendation letters while collaborating with underwriting, claims, and marketing.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong telephone, video, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to travel freely by car, including occasional overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business- or finance-related discipline.
