Electrical Instrumentation and Controls (EIC) Technician (6p-6a)

Location: Onsite at the main facility in Forest Park, Georgia, USA; 6 p.m.–6 a.m. shift

Hourly compensation: $40.97 per hour plus a $2 shift differential

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and improvement of automated packaging equipment and industrial processes.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, conveyor, pump, and drive systems.
• Execute inspections, planned and emergency work orders, housekeeping, lubrication, and equipment documentation.
• Support maintenance planning and lead or contribute to root cause analysis activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to commission, validate, and sustain new equipment and overhauls.
• Track time and communicate work status with operations, peers, management, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, man-lifts, fabrication, assembly, and machinery repair.
• Ability to read and update technical manuals and drawings and use shaft-alignment techniques.
• Ability to maintain mechanical drives, conveyors, pumps, bearings, seals, belts, and chains.
• Industrial maintenance experience or a two-year technical college curriculum or vocational training in mechanical or electrical technical areas.
• Ability to use maintenance and office software such as SAP, Microsoft Suite, Process Book, and FactoryTalk.
• Safe work practices, effective communication, initiative, ownership, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, or blow molders.
• Training or experience in machining, electricity, welding, air conditioning, or refrigeration.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, automation devices and sensors, robotics, communication networks, and AC/DC drives.
