Materials Engineer Rotational Program - May 2027 Grads (Steel)

Location: Onsite rotations in Saukville, Wisconsin for Wisconsin-based candidates, or Cleveland and Fostoria, Ohio for Ohio-based candidates. Start date: June 2027. Relocation support is available.

What you will do

• Rotate between departments and learn plant operations and the application of metallurgical theories and practices.
• Analyze how process changes affect product performance and collect, interpret, and communicate product quality data.
• Perform root cause analysis of process-related defects and their effects on finished products.
• Support troubleshooting and customer complaint resolution through failure analysis and metallographic interpretation.
• Contribute to process improvements through quality-parameter analysis and collaboration with external technical resources.
• Participate in Six Sigma, Orange Belt, and problem-solving teams while monitoring production and supporting internal and customer tours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or a related Materials Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering field.
• Related internship or work experience.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Initiative focused on excellence, results, and process improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the business.
• Willingness to work onsite in the assigned rotation locations and travel as needed.
