2027 Engineering Rotational Product Development - Materials

Location: Onsite in the United States, Monday through Friday, five days per week. Most positions are based in Peoria, Illinois; the role is also associated with Mossville, Illinois. Applicants may be considered for positions throughout the United States. Relocation is available to those who qualify.

Salary: $81,370–$133,810 per year

What you will do

• Complete three 12-month rotational assignments within the Advanced Materials Technology organization.
• Apply ferrous metallurgy knowledge to wrought steels and ferrous castings through foundry, laboratory, and supply-base assignments.
• Perform failure analysis using metallography, fractography, and microscopy to address customer-impacting issues.
• Support quality engineering in factory environments through materials inspection and problem-solving methods.
• Develop heat-treat recipes, quality controls, efficiency improvements, and capital projects.
• Provide materials engineering support to design engineers developing next-generation products.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related discipline; Mechanical Engineering with a Materials Engineering minor may be considered.
• Degree must be completed before the start date, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 without rounding.
• Prior professional experience must not exceed 12 months, excluding internships.
• Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, learn new skills quickly, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Visa sponsorship is not available. Willingness to relocate and travel as needed is required.
