Estimator III (Architectural Metals)

Location: Monett, Missouri, United States; mostly office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor

What you will do

• Prepare regular production cost estimates, formal quotations, bids, and related documents for complex architectural metal projects.
• Evaluate RFPs and RFQs, interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, and Division 8 specifications.
• Identify custom extrusion, reinforcement, and thermal, structural, or impact performance testing requirements.
• Lead pricing for strategic projects, high-value or high-risk work, and large-volume customers.
• Review technical solutions with engineering, project management, sales, and outside suppliers.
• Maintain cost data, compare actual costs with estimates, recommend pricing alternatives, and review work from less senior estimators.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of related experience, including costing and pricing.
• Thorough knowledge of architectural metals products and manufacturing processes, or equivalent experience.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing practices, material identifiers, and cost-estimating procedures.
• Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office, product configurators, and ERP software.
• Experience analyzing cost variations, data, and product or system performance.
• Strong organization, communication, mathematical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

• Two-year technical degree or related experience.
