Engineering Technician III

Location: Onsite in Ladson, South Carolina, United States

Salary: $18.75–$20.00 per hour, plus Health and Welfare benefits of up to $4.93 per hour worked for up to 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Perform engineering analysis and collect data from electronics equipment.
• Conduct tests and experiments, modify test setups or procedures, operate standard test equipment, and record results.
• Design, prepare, and modify engineering documents, drawings, components, subunits, and simple models.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and correct identified issues.
• Compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, laboratory reports, and other sources to support design modifications.
• Identify inconsistencies or gaps in operational and engineering data and review completed work for technical adequacy.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering technology, mathematics, or science with five years of relevant practical experience, or an approved equivalent combination of electronics training, apprenticeship, education, and experience.
• At least five years of practical experience preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings; seven years may substitute for the stated education and training pathways.
• Experience with technical drawing tools and/or MBSE tools, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer relations, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, adapt to evolving technology, and operate in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, complete a government background investigation, and hold an active Secret Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• AAV maintenance experience within a Marine Corps AAV Battalion.
