Assistant Critical Operations Manager (Nights)

Location: Leesburg, Virginia, United States; onsite night-shift operations. Work hours may include weekends, holidays, late nights, and on-call emergency support. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Support campus-wide night operations and maintain electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, base building, and other critical data center systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions while preventing unplanned customer-impacting outages.
• Execute site efficiency, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance programs while maintaining cooling efficiency and site design PUE.
• Assist with CAPEX and OPEX budgeting, forecasting, project scopes, proposals, purchase requisitions, and invoice routing.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, procurement, billing, and internal and external site audits.
• Develop and technically review procedures, standards, and policies; train and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of experience in data center or mission-critical operations.
• Experience administering facility preventative maintenance programs and managing vendors and projects.
• Working knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, chillers, CRAH, CRAC, STS, ATS, and pre-action systems.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, fire life safety compliance, and relevant building codes.
• Experience with data center trending and analysis, PC-based monitoring systems, CMS, EPMS, BMS, Microsoft Office, and database software.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, pass comprehensive background and drug screening, work outside normal business hours, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
