Data Center Technician

Location: Marble, NC, United States; full-time onsite. Minimal travel may be required, and shifts may vary according to the site.

What you will do

• Monitor power, cooling capacity, environmental conditions, and overall data center infrastructure health.
• Act as a first responder to electrical, mechanical, emergency, and critical facility incidents.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, planned and unplanned work, contractors, and communications with internal and customer stakeholders.
• Use CMMS and BMS data to troubleshoot issues, document readings, manage work orders, and track resolution.
• Develop and execute operating procedures, inspections, change control activities, quality reviews, and facility metrics.
• Support construction and commissioning, facility rounds, property management, training, safety, and compliance programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a related degree or technical certification is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Technical knowledge of electrical distribution, emergency and standby power, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, floor and rack PDUs, CRAH units, and BMS/CMMS systems.
• Algebraic math proficiency, the ability to write reports and interpret schematic and architectural drawings, and strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Microsoft Office Suite and other standard software proficiency required; networking hardware, software, routers, switches, and protocols are preferred.
