TL;DR
Field Service Engineer II/III (Semiconductor): Installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment for customers in the Dallas-Richardson and Sherman areas with an accent on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Focus on diagnosing technical issues, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and supporting equipment operations across customer sites.

Location: Dallas-Richardson, Texas and Sherman, Texas; must be located in or willing to relocate to the service area. Travel is required approximately 50% of the time, with on-site work and customer-site service requirements.

Salary: $31.00–$42.40 per hour

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment in collaboration with senior field service engineers.
  • Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
  • Communicate directly with customers and coordinate service activities to support reliable equipment operation.
  • Work safely in clean-room environments while following environmental, safety, and site requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
  • 2–7 years of customer service, field service, or related technical experience.
  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and diagnose basic technical problems.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics; familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport if required, and ability to meet on-site safety and environmental requirements.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with CVD or PVD semiconductor tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ETCH tools or platforms.
