Senior Customs Brokerage Agent

Location: Federal Way, Washington, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of U.S. import brokerage accounts across varying sizes and levels of complexity.
• Advise customers on brokerage operations, compliance requirements, service issues, and account onboarding.
• Coordinate with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies on examinations, holds, releases, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate compliance requirements into practical operational guidance and troubleshoot complex brokerage transactions.
• Mentor and train Customer Service Representatives on brokerage processes, customer service, and compliance procedures.
• Improve processes, data quality, templates, SOPs, rate schedules, and account-specific documentation while supporting account financial activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressively responsible customs brokerage experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing brokerage operations and customer accounts.
• Ability to support compliance coordination, process documentation, and complex transaction resolution.

Nice to have

• Current U.S. Customs Broker License.
• Certified Import Clearance Specialist certification.
• Dangerous Goods Certification.
• Previous mentoring, training, or leadership experience.
• Experience communicating directly with CBP and Partner Government Agencies.
