Export & Transportation Manager (Logistics)

Salary: USD 70,304 annually, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead operating strategy for air export, ocean export, transcon, and distribution products.
• Oversee booking, routing, documentation, pickup and delivery coordination, warehouse flow, milestone visibility, and customer communication.
• Manage service exceptions, recovery plans, capacity needs, operational risks, and compliance with customer SOPs and safety and security standards.
• Partner with sales, account management, finance, product, facility, security, and district leadership on onboarding, RFQs, QBRs, service recovery, and retention.
• Manage revenue growth, margins, billing quality, cost control, local charges, and provider performance.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain employees while improving systems, reporting, dashboards, data integrity, and operational processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in freight forwarding, export operations, transportation, distribution, logistics, warehousing, customer service, or supply chain.
• Leadership experience managing teams, product operations, customer requirements, service providers, financial performance, and cross-functional execution.
• Strong knowledge of export operations, domestic transportation, distribution, customer SOPs, operational controls, and profitability.
• Ability to coordinate priorities across air export, ocean export, transcon, and distribution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Expeditors operating systems, reporting tools, product applications, and operational dashboards.
• Knowledge of software development principles, automation platforms such as Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, M365, APIs, integrations, system architecture, AI, machine learning, LLMs, and prompt engineering.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a product manager, operations manager, export manager, transportation manager, distribution manager, or warehouse and distribution operations manager.
• Experience with customer implementations, RFQs, QBRs, account reviews, product growth strategies, and service provider management.
• Experience developing automations, applications, or digital solutions and leading cross-functional projects.
• Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, or related technologies.
