Mass Tort and Complex Casualty - Senior Claims Adjuster (Insurance)

Location: PA-Philadelphia; primarily office-based

Salary: $76,000–$100,000 annual base salary for positions based in New Jersey; Illinois positions offer $72,500–$96,700 plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Evaluate coverage under sophisticated insurance products, including primary and excess CGL and environmental policies.
• Handle complex litigation and coverage issues involving bodily injury, property damage, construction defects, environmental claims, toxic torts, PFAS, and opioids.
• Hire and manage counsel supporting coverage evaluations and defense of insureds.
• Assess damages and the financial impact of claims with support from outside experts.
• Formulate claim-resolution strategies and negotiate with insureds and third parties.
• Advise claims leaders, underwriters, business partners, and other stakeholders on exposures, emerging risks, and potential product enhancements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in legal, insurance, construction defect, or environmental work preferred.
• Ability to handle complex claims involving diverse coverage issues related to general liability and environmental policies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and investigation skills.
• Ability to work primarily from the office in Philadelphia.
