Assistant Critical Operations Manager (Data Center Operations)

Location: Santa Teresa, New Mexico, United States. Full-time onsite role. Must be eligible to work in the United States. On-call support, weekends, late nights, holidays, and variable work hours may be required.

Salary: $60.00–$62.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Support operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, base building, and other critical data center systems.
• Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs and implement site efficiency projects while maintaining the site PUE.
• Assist with CAPEX and OPEX budgeting, forecasting, project execution, scopes of work, proposals, purchase requisitions, and invoice routing.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, procurement, billing, audits, and compliance activities.
• Develop and technically review procedures for maintenance events, emergency situations, standard site evolutions, company standards, and policies.
• Train and mentor junior staff, provide customer support, and help prevent unplanned customer-impacting outages.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in data center or other mission-critical operations.
• Experience administering facility preventative maintenance programs and managing vendors and projects.
• Working knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, chillers, CRAH, CRAC, STS, ATS, and pre-action systems.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, fire life safety compliance, building codes, data center trending, and site monitoring systems.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment, handle shifting priorities, lift or move up to 25 pounds, and pass comprehensive background and drug screening.
