Senior Probe Test Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Farmers Branch, Texas, United States. Full-time day shift; the role is based on-site.

What you will do

• Optimize probe card test programs and methodologies to improve product performance, throughput, quality, and repeatability.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and support production test hardware, fixtures, automated test equipment, wafer probers, and probe card test systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for hardware failures, equipment issues, test escapes, yield degradation, and manufacturing problems.
• Analyze electrical test data, process metrics, and equipment logs to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement.
• Develop documentation, troubleshooting procedures, test methods, qualification plans, and validated test processes for new product introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, plus 5 years of related experience; alternatively, 3 years with a master’s degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in semiconductor test operations, probe card manufacturing, wafer probing, electronics testing, or advanced manufacturing.
• Knowledge of semiconductor test equipment, troubleshooting, failure analysis, electrical measurements, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, yield and process capability evaluation, and tools such as Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python, or similar applications.
• Experience with ATE, wafer test probers, semiconductor metrology systems, and probe card test and characterization equipment.
• Technical proficiency with Onto PRVX4 and ProbeWorx300 Probe Card Analyzer; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and continuous improvement methods.
