Electrical Engineer (Water)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $95,200–$142,800 annually.

What you will do

• Design electrical, communications, fire alarm, and process control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and lift stations.
• Provide office services during construction for related projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost opinions for design projects.
• Collect field data in support of design work.
• Prepare electrical condition assessments and feasibility studies.
• Perform computer modeling for short-circuit, load-flow, protective-device coordination, and arc-flash studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in power distribution design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with medium-voltage electrical distribution, fire alarms, short-circuit, load-flow, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Experience with computer modeling for electrical systems.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD skills.
• Civil 3D design capabilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD MEP or Revit.
