Emergency Response Specialist (Physical Security)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Develop and implement emergency response, incident management, guard force, and physical security procedures.
• Control facility access, monitor entrances and exits, conduct patrols, and identify unsafe conditions or security violations.
• Respond to workplace violence, security breaches, fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, hazardous materials incidents, severe weather, and other threats.
• Observe, document, and report incidents and suspicious activity while enforcing security policies.
• Provide protection for senior leaders and designated employees during travel, meetings, public appearances, and other professional engagements.
• Support the security planning and logistics of company-sponsored events and provide logistical assistance to company leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of recent experience in a similar law enforcement role, including Military Police experience.
• LEOSA card and Concealed Pistol License, or the ability to obtain and maintain them; valid firearms license and CCW required.
• Ability to carry and safely use a company-approved firearm and comply with local and state licensing regulations.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, annual motor vehicle background check, pre-employment and random drug screenings, and pre-hire psychological examination required.
• Current medical training requirements, including American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, must be met and maintained.
