Executive Protection Specialist (Corporate Security)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States. Workstyle: Resident. Full-time role with up to 50% travel, including domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Support executive protection for senior leaders, designated family members, visiting VIPs, Board-level guests, and other covered persons.
• Assist with close protection, secure movements, access control, protective formations, event security, and transportation operations.
• Conduct protective advances and support travel security planning for routes, hotels, venues, medical resources, emergency exits, and contingency options.
• Research protective intelligence, threats, suspicious activity, harassment, stalking indicators, reputational concerns, and workplace violence risks.
• Support internal investigations, incident response, crisis management, evacuation, shelter-in-place, and business continuity procedures.
• Prepare incident reports, activity logs, protective intelligence summaries, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, trade or vocational education, certificate, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military security, intelligence, emergency response, high-threat security, or private-sector security.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Florida Class C, Class D, and Class G licenses.
• Ability to qualify with firearms, maintain firearm-carry eligibility, and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport and travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, short-notice assignments, prolonged standing, and extended travel; ability to pass background, drug, driving-record, and suitability checks.

Nice to have

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification; EMR, EMT, TECC, TCCC, or comparable emergency medical training.
• Defensive, protective, evasive, or surveillance-detection driving training and firearms or defensive-tactics training.
• Experience with security and intelligence platforms such as Kaseware, Echosec, CAP Index, ISOS Quantum, NexusXplore, access control, video management, visitor management, incident reporting, or case management systems.
• Relevant certifications such as ASIS CPP, ASIS PSP, Executive Security International, or equivalent protective operations training.
