Global Security Operations Center Specialist (2nd Shift)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States. On-site second-shift role supporting a 24-hour, seven-day operation; schedule may vary based on operational needs.

What you will do

• Monitor access control, alarm, fire and life-safety, video surveillance, proprietary security, and external intelligence systems.
• Receive and route routine and emergency communications, record calls, and coordinate security responses to incidents and requests.
• Assess threats, escalate significant incidents to management, contact law enforcement according to established procedures, and process urgent information requests.
• Use Computer Aided Dispatch, radio, access-control, alarm, and video-monitoring systems to facilitate responses.
• Activate mass notifications, prepare written alerts, reports, activity logs, and threat-management records.
• Audit security systems, coordinate with physical-security vendors, monitor single-associate retail locations, and report facilities-maintenance requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office automation and communication tools; ability to operate critical security, fire, and life-safety systems.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, de-escalation, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, protect sensitive information, and meet the physical and attendance requirements of the role.

Nice to have

• Prior public safety, military, or security officer experience.
