Senior Physical Security Specialist

Location: On-site five days per week at the Portland, Oregon or Renton, Washington office; candidates must live within commuting distance. Local or out-of-state travel may be required, including work outside normal business hours.

Salary: $76,500–$103,500 expected hiring range in Washington and Oregon; full range of $72,000–$117,000, with a 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Oversee enterprise physical security operations in alignment with organizational risk and business needs.
• Respond to critical incidents and emergencies affecting personnel and facilities.
• Provide executive protection and plan protective operations for board meetings, executive events, and public engagements.
• Conduct physical security, threat, and violence risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Oversee access control, video management, intrusion detection, visitor management, and security operations center systems.
• Manage security vendors and guard services, coordinate with law enforcement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, business administration, homeland security, emergency management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience in law enforcement, federal law enforcement, military police or security forces, executive protection, or another protective services assignment.
• Experience with threat assessment, incident response, and personnel protection.
• Advanced skills in risk assessment, threat management, executive protection, emergency response, incident command, communication, and critical decision-making.
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-pressure, and sensitive environments involving senior leadership and critical incidents.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week from the Portland or Renton office and reside within commuting distance.

Nice to have

• CPP, PSP, or APP certification.
• Executive protection certification.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
