Assistant Facility Security Officer (Classified Security)

Location: Edgewood, Maryland, USA; full-time onsite

Salary: $95,227–$142,839 per year, plus a Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Administer classified and unclassified contract security requirements under 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM and related federal regulations.
• Manage classified material handling, storage, transmission, shipment, destruction, classification, and required records.
• Maintain DISS, NISS, and facility security documentation, including DD-254s, KMP records, site plans, self-inspections, and audit results.
• Process employee clearances, conduct required security checks and investigations, and administer visitor, foreign visitor, and classified visit programs.
• Deliver initial, annual, derivative classification, insider-threat, new-hire, and debriefing training for employees.
• Support physical security, closed-room operations, facility systems, security investigations, adverse reporting, and FOCI compliance.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience working as an Assistant Facility Security Officer in a government-secured environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Security Information access and TSA vetting are required.
• Must successfully pass a federal background investigation.
• Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities through CDSE is required within the first three months.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; experience with DISS, NISS, NBIS, and SWFT is preferred. Strong integrity, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
