Assistant Facility Security Officer (Aerospace)

Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite at the facility

Salary: $26.00–$46.40 per hour

What you will do

• Support the Facility Security Officer in implementing security policies, procedures, plans, and safeguards.
• Oversee daily industrial security facility operations in accordance with NISPOM, applicable regulations, and DoD contract requirements.
• Process security clearance paperwork and maintain personnel security records, databases, and fingerprinting quality controls.
• Protect classified information by enforcing marking, handling, safeguarding, physical security, and information security procedures.
• Manage DD Form 254 requirements, security education and training programs, and visitor control processes.
• Prepare reports, troubleshoot industrial security issues, and support responses to government agencies and company management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in defense contracting, the U.S. military, and/or the federal government.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Knowledge of DISS, COMSEC, documentation control, accountability, and SETA programs.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• DCSA CDSE FSO Certification.
• Completed DSS FSO Program Management Course for Processing Facilities.
• 2–3 years of experience as an AFSO.
• 1–2 years of experience working in Special Access Programs.
