Assistant Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Stockton, CA, United States; full-time onsite position

Salary: $64,000–$102,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop production employees through clear expectations, goals, feedback, recognition, and performance management.
• Support daily shop-floor operations and guide leads and employees with production tasks.
• Troubleshoot operational issues using root cause analysis and promote a continuous improvement culture.
• Monitor workflow, productivity, errors, schedules, and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, and design programs that improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other branches and internal sources of expertise to adopt effective manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• Four years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and manufacturing distribution practices.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, waste elimination, continuous improvement, S5, Kaizen, Quality Built In, JIT, Kanban, and levelized production.
• Ability to use critical thinking, active listening, monitoring, process control analysis, and mathematics to improve performance.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook effectively.
• A two-year degree or technical school certificate in Business, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
