Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite, full time

Salary: $93,000–$136,400 annually, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing feasibility assessments, DFM reviews, and impact assessments for new products.
• Translate product requirements and customer requests into factory-level actions and enable production infrastructure for new products and customers.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes, factory layouts, tooling, shop-floor controls, and process documentation.
• Support continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and analysis of cycle time and yield metrics.
• Investigate factory interruptions, lead corrective actions, and improve support management systems.
• Manage project schedules and budgets while mentoring junior manufacturing engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including data mining, data analytics practices, and simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, plus the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Certain positions may require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility for an export control license or license exception.

Nice to have

• Experience with factory simulation software, preferably FlexSim.
