Manager, Manufacturing Quality (Traveling)

Location: Shenzhen, China. Full-time role with approximately 40–60% travel throughout Southeast Asia manufacturing sites; a valid passport is required.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and prioritize the China Manufacturing Quality team supporting contract manufacturers in China and Southeast Asia.
• Align quality processes, work methods, deliverables, and team priorities across manufacturing sites.
• Lead quality execution for product transfers from China to Southeast Asia, from mold trials through mass production.
• Review tooling, fixtures, equipment, testers, production lines, molded parts, finished units, inspections, and manufacturing readiness.
• Maintain Product Quality Plans and coordinate qualification, re-qualification, pilot-run, production-ramp, and First Shipment Authorization activities.
• Drive audits, Lean improvements, corrective actions, supplier-quality resolution, and escalation of quality, staffing, and schedule risks.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, quality, science, or another technical field; equivalent manufacturing quality leadership experience may be considered.
• 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, project coordination, or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is required.
• Valid passport and ability to travel extensively throughout Southeast Asia are required; expected travel is approximately 40–60%.
• Knowledge of statistical and quality methods, including SPC, capability analysis, FMEA, control charts, sampling, measurement variation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to lead and coach a technical quality team, coordinate cross-functional work, and work with contract manufacturers; familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with product transfer, supplier quality, high-volume manufacturing, plastic injection molding, tooling, assembly lines, testing, or production planning.
• Thai and/or Vietnamese language skills.
• Experience leading or coordinating technical work and applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
