Value Stream Manager (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional team of supervisors, engineers, and operators within an assigned Gruvlok or Threaded Fittings value stream.
• Own performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and lead-time KPIs.
• Coordinate with planning, scheduling, materials, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to improve material flow, customer delivery, and first-pass yield.
• Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives using 5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction.
• Develop value stream roadmaps and identify opportunities for automation, technology improvements, capital investment, and process optimization.
• Track and report operational metrics, lead Gemba walks and value stream reviews, and drive employee engagement and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in machining, metalworking, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading teams of 50 or more employees in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, material flow, supply chain operations, and operational KPI management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, coaching, and people leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in machining, metalworking, castings, fittings, or related manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading value stream transformations, process automation, or capital investment initiatives.
• Knowledge of shop floor management systems, production scheduling, and manufacturing process optimization.
• Hands-on leadership experience driving cultural change, employee engagement, and accountability.
