Production Manager, Assembly - B Shift (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. B Shift: 6:45 PM–7:30 AM, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Applicants must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing performance across multiple production lines in a high-volume, 24/7 environment.
• Manage safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, operating expenses, capacity planning, labor optimization, and resource allocation.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate Production Supervisors while developing leadership capability and succession pipelines.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, 6S, standardized work, structured problem-solving, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS, HR, and senior leadership on operational execution, PFMEA, capacity planning, process controls, and new product introductions.
• Oversee risk mitigation, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, regulatory compliance, and safe manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• At least 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume, 24/7 production environment.
• Experience owning safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics, with strong data-driven decision-making and financial skills.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, structured problem-solving, continuous improvement, and ERP/MES systems such as SAP, Oracle, or FactoryTalk.
• Strong communication and cross-functional influencing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Working-level English is required, and unrestricted U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• Seven or more years of manufacturing leadership experience, including leadership of organizations with 100 or more employees.
• Experience with automated production, new product introductions, major capacity expansions, operational transformation, and change management.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, including Japanese or Spanish.
