Value Stream Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Commerce City, Colorado, United States; onsite manufacturing leadership role.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic development and daily operations of the Industrial & Specialty Products value stream, including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and customer delivery.
• Direct production supervisors, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and technicians while recruiting, developing, and mentoring a high-performing team.
• Champion Lean methods such as Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, SMED, and 5S to reduce waste and improve flow in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Track and improve OEE, productivity, scrap, labor efficiency, and other operational metrics using root-cause problem-solving methods.
• Manage the value stream budget and P&L, implement cost-reduction initiatives, and control labor, overhead, and operating expenses.
• Own production scheduling and material forecasting while improving manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and quality-control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in machine shop management and at least 3 years in a leadership role within a sophisticated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-mix, low-volume production or diverse product portfolios.
• Strong understanding of machining manufacturing and Lean production methodologies.
• Strong leadership, team-building, talent-development, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, OSHA, FDA, and environmental compliance requirements.
