Director, Merchandising - Audio (Retail)

Location: Hula Building Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; full-time office-based role

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategy for a complex audio merchandising category.
• Own profit and loss management, using financial data to guide pricing, inventory, and promotional decisions.
• Lead supplier negotiations, commercial terms, performance metrics, and category profitability.
• Manage team performance, prioritization, talent development, and career guidance.
• Use data analytics to optimize assortment, modular layouts, channel strategies, and customer experience.
• Partner with supply chain, marketing, private brand, and other cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in category management, financial management, merchandising, buying, or operations.
• Experience with profit and loss ownership, business planning, product strategy, and data-informed decision-making.
• Strong supplier negotiation, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

• Master of Business Administration.
