Customer Reliability Engineer or Technical Specialist (Entry Level)

Location: Port Arthur, Texas, USA. Full-time, with an eventual in-plant assignment at customer facilities.

What you will do

• Complete training rotations involving the teardown, inspection, and assembly of mechanical seals.
• Perform failure analysis and record findings in reliability management software.
• Review customer applications and recommend seals, materials, equipment modifications, and auxiliary components.
• Troubleshoot seal operation problems and failures in existing installations.
• Review proposals, layouts, installation and assembly details, and engineering drawings.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, customer data evaluations, and management presentations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and machining practices.
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assignments efficiently in a demanding environment.
• Ability to work effectively within diverse teams across local and functional groups.

Nice to have

• Experience with mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and applied engineering principles.
• Training, leadership, facilitation, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
