Customer Reliability Engineer or Technical Specialist (Entry Level) (Mechanical Seals)

Location: United States; the role will ultimately be placed in-plant at a customer facility.

What you will do

• Complete training rotations involving the teardown, inspection, and assembly of mechanical seals.
• Perform failure analysis and record findings in reliability management software.
• Review customer applications and recommend suitable seals, materials, equipment modifications, and auxiliary components.
• Troubleshoot seal operation problems and failures at customer installations.
• Coordinate and participate in customer work, collect field performance data, and provide technical feedback and recommendations.
• Prepare reports, technical presentations, and recommendations while supporting partnership programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and basic engineering principles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and machining practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assignments efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal business communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within diverse local and cross-functional teams.
