Vice President of Engineering (Foundry Manufacturing)

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the plant

What you will do

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy for operational excellence and long-term growth.
• Lead engineering, tooling, process, and metallurgical teams while setting technical standards and best practices.
• Optimize melting, molding, core-making, pouring, heat treatment, finishing, casting, and machining operations.
• Direct tooling and product engineering, including gating systems, risers, patterns, fixtures, tooling, and new product introductions.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage capital projects, technology upgrades, automation and robotics initiatives, budgets, vendors, quality, compliance, and cross-functional technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, or related Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, with foundry experience strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of casting processes, metallurgy, heat treatment, material properties, and CAD tools.
• Experience with solidification modeling software such as MAGMA, ProCAST, or FLOW-3D.
• Ability to lead technical teams, collaborate cross-functionally, solve problems hands-on, and manage multiple complex projects.
