Engineering Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Casa Grande, Arizona, USA; onsite at the manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead the Process Engineering group and improve process reliability, material usage variances, manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment.
• Support customer relationships, new business, and new product introduction through tooling, manufacturing documentation, technical interfaces, schedule adherence, and budget control.
• Partner with Quality on material and product issues, specifications, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain engineering standards, bills of material, routings, equipment reliability programs, preventive maintenance plans, and equipment upgrades.
• Review management-of-change activities and document change requests to support regulatory compliance.
• Lead capital appropriation and plant capital projects while managing employee development, safety, environmental compliance, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least seven years of related experience with increasing responsibility, including at least three years in a leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred, ideally aerospace, continuous-run material processing, multi-shift, multi-product operations, and regular customer interaction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Minitab and manufacturing execution systems is preferred.
• Strong statistics knowledge supporting Six Sigma activities; Lean/Six Sigma certification is preferred.
