Project Oversight Specialist (Environmental Management)

Location: Richland, Washington, United States. Work is predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support subject to approval.

Work is performed in a field-based environment and requires PPE. Travel may be authorized in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

What you will do

• Conduct operations surveillances and review operational logs and procedures.
• Coordinate readiness reviews and escalate safety concerns.
• Support commissioning, deactivation and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and waste and nuclear material stabilization and disposition.
• Provide oversight across physical sciences, engineering, fire protection, instrumentation and control, environmental, chemical, and nuclear disciplines.
• Support construction compliance, field engineering management, and operations oversight.
• Document and track DOE oversight findings and provide program and project management support.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of DOE operations oversight experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with nuclear or industrial facilities is preferred.
• Experience in operations oversight, procedure review, and reporting.
• Judgment, independence, and field presence.
• Facility Clearance is required; a DOE Clearance level may be required for classified work.

Nice to have

• Environmental Management Sector experience.
• Functional or technical expertise in science, engineering, construction, or operations oversight.
• Experience supporting DOE, Hanford Field Office, or similar regulated environments.
