What you will do
- Manage environmental due diligence, investigation, and remediation projects including Phase I/II ESAs and Brownfield Cleanup Programs in the NYC metro area.
- Oversee project scope, budget, staffing, and technical deliverables from initiation to completion.
- Prepare and review work plans, proposals, investigation reports, and regulatory submittals.
- Coordinate field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling programs.
- Mentor junior staff by providing technical guidance and project management direction.
- Communicate project status and technical recommendations to clients and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5β10 years of professional environmental consulting experience.
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
- Knowledge of NYC E-Designation and NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program regulatory requirements.
- Valid driverβs license and ability to travel to project sites within the five boroughs.
- Must be based in or able to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY.
Nice to have
- M.S. degree in a related field.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience with in-situ remediation, vapor mitigation, and groundwater remediation.
- Experience in client development and proposal strategy.
