Trade Desk Support Engineer

Location: Chicago, United States

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 USD per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide L1–L3 support for service requests and incidents.
• Monitor and configure alerting for critical trading system environments.
• Identify and resolve production issues proactively.
• Develop scripting tools to improve operational efficiency, automation, and system stability.
• Troubleshoot complex systems issues and deploy infrastructure components.
• Participate in rotating off-hours pager support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX environments and Unix commands.
• Database experience with SQL, MySQL, and InfluxDB.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple issues under pressure in a dynamic trading environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, Grafana, InfluxDB, or Icinga.
• Linux desktop support experience.
• Experience with version control and configuration management systems such as Git or Puppet.
• Network troubleshooting and analysis experience.
