Application Support Consultant (Front Office Trading Applications)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid arrangement with 4–5 days per week on-site. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 USD annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location. The role may also include incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support and provide service delivery for front-office trading applications within the Fixed Income Production Support team.
• Identify and resolve high- to critically complex production problems.
• Work with business analysts and developers on bug fixes and new product releases.
• Collaborate with traders, technical teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders during incidents and service restoration.
• Monitor and analyze services, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions.
• Validate applications after infrastructure maintenance and advise on effective service-delivery processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience supporting front-office trading applications, preferably with fixed-income exposure and direct trader support.
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS or Broadway trading systems.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including interpreting server logs and resolving software, application, and operational issues.
• Expertise navigating Unix environments and reading basic Python or Shell scripts.
• Ability to write SQL queries for troubleshooting and ad-hoc reporting, with experience using or configuring ITRS real-time monitoring.
• Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, plus effective collaboration and communication skills.
