Mid-Level Systems Engineer

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for high availability.
• Implement application security, backup strategies, redundancy, and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop scripts to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, software, and network components.
• Collaborate with developers and other departments while maintaining architecture, procedures, and support documentation.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems engineering, testing, or DevOps.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, Git, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with test frameworks.
• Strategic thinking, strong organization, and a commitment to continuous learning.
