Press Operator - Autos, Swing Shift

Location: Stockton, California, United States; onsite, full-time swing shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $18.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential.

What you will do

• Operate a progressive automatic stamping press and related coil-processing equipment.
• Nest parts, package products, palletize cartons, and move materials and finished goods with a forklift.
• Monitor press operations, identify defects or malfunctions, and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect products against drawings, specifications, and written quality procedures.
• Assist with press setups and changeovers while maintaining safe work practices.
• Read work orders to determine materials, dimensions, and tolerances, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• Six months of manufacturing experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Ability to read production drawings, diagrams, work orders, and a tape measure to within 1/32 inch.
• Ability to monitor gauges and indicators, perform accurate quality inspections, and operate manufacturing equipment safely.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
• Ability to stand for approximately 8–12 hours, perform repetitive twisting and bending, and lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must work onsite in Stockton, California; relocation is not available.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing process and quality-control knowledge.
• Forklift certification; certification can be provided at hire.
• Experience with computers, ERP systems, Word, and Outlook.
