Digital Press Operator Apprentice 3rd Shift

Salary: $20.00–$26.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour third-shift premium

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Complete make-ready tasks, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify image positioning.
• Perform color corrections and press adjustments to meet production quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses, including minor repairs and replacement of worn or broken parts.
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine suitable press settings, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to make precise control and equipment adjustments.
• Knowledge of operational maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for different printing jobs.
• Ability to use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
