Manufacturing CNC Engineer

Location: Onsite in Wyoming, Michigan; full-time reporting to Grand Rapids

What you will do

• Support CNC engineering and machining equipment for grinding, drilling, milling, and turning processes.
• Improve equipment efficiency, resolve downtime events, and address customer quality concerns in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Maintain manufacturing technical documentation and provide day-to-day support to operations and maintenance.
• Provide technical direction to internal teams and oversee external vendors against quality, efficiency, and production requirements.
• Identify and resolve safety and ergonomics issues, and deliver training, manuals, and work instructions.
• Coordinate project planning to complete manufacturing tasks on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of CNC engineering support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing and CNC equipment for at least one relevant machining process.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD or similar engineering software.
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cold forming, heat processes, or high-volume fabrication manufacturing.
• CAD software proficiency, statistical analysis, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Project management experience.
