Maintenance Planner – Fixed Assets (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: 75 Steel City Ct, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 80,000–CAD 95,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate inspection, repair, and replacement of fixed-asset equipment across 28 recycling sites.
• Review service requests, define work scopes, and conduct field walks with site managers and contractors.
• Document job, equipment, parts, and responsibility requirements while identifying site-specific safety hazards and controls.
• Schedule work by forecasting labor hours, task duration, and required skills, while minimizing disruption to operations.
• Procure or rent equipment and specialized tools, and coordinate technical manuals, specifications, and drawings.
• Track purchase requisitions and service requests through completion while improving maintenance processes, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in millwrighting or maintenance planning.
• Industrial Mechanic college diploma and/or Certificate of Qualification.
• Experience with CMMS, including Maximo.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and technical drawings.
• Ability to coordinate with site managers, procurement and inventory teams, contractors, management, and operations personnel.
