Staff Test Software Developer (Python)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States. Full-time, on-site role.

Salary: $105,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop manufacturing test systems, procedures, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for motherboards, memory, CPUs, storage, networking, and PCIe devices.
• Create, validate, release, and maintain automated test software that controls equipment, collects and analyzes data, and generates reports.
• Support L10 server- and L11 rack-level test software and infrastructure deployed at production facilities.
• Maintain documentation for manufacturing test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with test, manufacturing, and failure analysis engineers to align testing requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to test infrastructure and application architecture while keeping testing technologies and methodologies current.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience developing and sustaining manufacturing test software for enterprise server, storage, or networking products.
• Proficiency in Python, Linux commands, Bash scripting, and Linux-based tools for data collection and analysis.
• Experience with firmware, driver, software updates, patches, and hardware or API solutions including IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, and memtester.
• Knowledge of enterprise Ethernet switching and routing, including L1/L2/L3 networking, BGP, DHCP Relay, and ECMP.
• Experience with software development life cycle practices, VMware virtual machines, DHCP, PXE boot, nginx, SDN, GitLab, multi-site collaboration, and technical documentation.
