Senior Software Test Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site at the Arlington, Virginia headquarters 4–5 days per week

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 USD annualized

What you will do

• Develop and execute manual functional, end-to-end, regression, performance, and user-acceptance tests.
• Perform full-stack system testing through API endpoints, hardware interfaces, and diagnostic tools.
• Evaluate distributed architectures, hardware endpoints, and interoperable data streams as an integrated ecosystem.
• Maintain test environments that mirror operational hardware and software deployments.
• Help implement automated testing frameworks and strategies for validating AI-assisted code development.
• Document defects, investigate root causes, and align testing lifecycles with program milestones and operational timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems testing experience, including test automation for software-hardware interfaces, APIs, or embedded systems.
• 3+ years of system-level integration testing involving backend APIs and complex hardware/software ecosystems.
• Knowledge of networking, distributed systems, cross-network data flows, and data-heavy systems.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, SQL or other relational/non-relational databases, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows and methods for verifying code integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable professional experience; eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Military cyber or networking experience and familiarity with military, cyber, and networking terminology.
• Experience with Docker, vSphere, Ansible, AWS, Agile development, or scripting in Bash, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience creating automated tests for geospatial libraries such as OpenLayers and CesiumJS.
