Senior Software Engineer – Test Automation & Infrastructure (Python/C++)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; Workplace: On-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under space technology export regulations.

Salary: $133,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop automated test software for signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, network equipment, and other laboratory instrumentation.
• Implement and maintain system-level and component-level test sequences across hardware and software environments.
• Design device-under-test control software, including command handling, telemetry ingestion, and state management.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, shared libraries, tools, and utilities that reduce manual intervention and improve test engineering productivity.
• Design, maintain, and standardize scalable test automation infrastructure across configurations, environments, and teams.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams to improve testability, integration readiness, reliability, and development cycle time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or a related role.
• Experience developing software that interfaces with hardware systems or laboratory instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or similar programming languages, with strong experience developing test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD tools, automated test frameworks, instrumentation control, data acquisition, hardware/software integration, and system-level testing.
• Ability to work on-site in Westminster, Colorado, and meet U.S. space technology export-regulation eligibility requirements.
