System Design and Safety Oversight Coordinator (Nuclear Safety)

Location: Richland, Washington, United States; work conducted predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support subject to Contracting Officer approval.

What you will do

• Conduct independent system design and safety reviews, track issues, coordinate evaluation teams, and report results.
• Support system engineering, assessments, configuration control, and risk-based DOE oversight planning.
• Provide multidisciplinary engineering, physical sciences, work inspection, field engineering, and construction compliance support.
• Support commissioning, deactivation and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and waste and nuclear material stabilization and disposition.
• Assist program and project management activities for Hanford Field Office General Support Services.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of engineering or safety oversight experience; DOE nuclear experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with system engineering, assessments, and configuration control.
• Objectivity, rigor, and technical depth.
• Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required for classified work.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license or advanced engineering credentials.
• Environmental Management Sector experience.
