Electrical Design Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Remote within applicable U.S. states; candidates must be based in the United States, be U.S. citizens, and be legally authorized to work without current or future employer sponsorship.

Annual compensation: $145,000–$185,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Develop electrical design studies, calculations, analyses, drawings, reports, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Design and qualify electrical systems, structures, and components for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
• Prepare procurement specifications, evaluate vendor bids, and support equipment selection.
• Prepare and review electrical construction specifications and coordinate system integration with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings, technical coordination, site walkdowns, field installations, and startup activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while supporting engineering quality and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• At least 10 years of experience designing electrical systems and producing calculations, analyses, drawings, and technical reports.
• Experience with nuclear design projects or nuclear engineering environments, procurement specifications, and electrical construction specifications.
• Strong technical problem-solving, analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship are required.
