TL;DR
Lead Punch Technician (Multifamily Construction): Completing final punch-list repairs and finish work for multifamily residential units with an accent on carpentry, drywall, framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, and quality compliance. Focus on inspecting units, coordinating subcontractors, resolving issues across multiple trades, and ensuring work meets building codes, safety regulations, and presentation standards.

Location: Dallas Office; onsite work between the workshop and construction job sites.

What you will do

  • Conduct unit and building walkthroughs to identify and resolve outstanding punch-list items.
  • Complete minor repairs across carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and flooring.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Construct, adjust, and repair walls, doors, frames, windows, staircases, cabinets, drywall, and other fixtures.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, track punch-list progress, and communicate updates to the project team.
  • Support final inspections, report recurring quality issues, and maintain a clean and safe job site.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in carpentry, drywall, tape, bed, and texture work with a focus on finishes.
  • High school diploma or GED; carpentry apprenticeship completion is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Safe and effective use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, and work at various heights.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience mentoring or training Junior Punch Technicians.
  • Familiarity with project management software or digital measuring tools.
