Collections Specialist - Eurofins Environment Testing - Barberton, OH

Location: Barberton, Ohio, USA; primarily remote, but candidates must be local and able to work onsite when needed. Training is onsite.

Salary: $20 per hour

What you will do

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of large client accounts.
• Contact clients by phone and in writing regarding overdue invoices.
• Research and resolve payment conflicts and cash discrepancies using Oracle.
• Maintain accurate account notes and follow-up queues in collections software.
• Provide account updates and documentation to Collections, Operations, Sales, and clients.
• Process credit card payments and support collections-related projects and calls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience.
• Computer skills and knowledge of accounting software.
• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong communication, active listening, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• Previous collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Knowledge of accounting processes, collections policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field.
