Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Provide mechanical support for maintenance, engineering, and production operations.
• Troubleshoot, start up, commission, install, modify, and adapt plant equipment.
• Maintain plant assets with a focus on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production.
• Perform maintenance tasks involving rotating machinery, hydraulic systems, and lubrication systems.
• Coordinate mechanical work with electrical personnel and assist production employees with equipment and processes.
• Contribute to maintenance projects and complete assigned special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with precision maintenance, rotating machinery installation, and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and P&IDs.
• Hydraulic system maintenance and repair or similar lubrication system experience.
• Basic welding and pipefitting skills.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance or a related field.
• Equivalent education and relevant maintenance experience.
